A Mini Tummy Tuck procedure is a “smaller” version of the Tummy Tuck
A mini tummy tuck is best for patients who don’t have saggy skin or stretch marks, but have a pouch below the navel. This is done either through an incision in the navel, or if applicable, through a C section scar. Dr. Blinski serves Miami Tummy Tuck patients, evaluating each case and determining if a full tummy tuck or mini tummy tuck is recommended.
As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Blinski is unlike many doctors performing Tummy Tuck and Mini Tummy Tuck procedures in that he has a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of both procedures. Some doctors who perform those cosmetic procedures are actually General Practioners who have taken a weekend seminar on the Tummy Tuck procedure. Wouldn’t you prefer that the surgeon performing your procedure have both certification credentials and a comprehensive education?
Dr. Blinski is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and a widely recognized expert on many cosmetic procedures. His training and experience also means he has a complete understanding of every nuance of other cosmetic procedures like Laser Hair Removal, Butt Augmentation, or Body-Jet Lipo.
As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Blinski is experienced and trained in a wide range of cosmetic surgeries, such as Rhinoplasty or Breast Augmentation. No matter what your individual situation may be, you can feel confident that Dr. Blinski will choose the procedure best suited for you.
What Is a Mini Tummy Tuck?
A Mini Tummy Tuck is literally a smaller version of the full abdominoplasty procedure. Abdominoplasty, or a Tummy Tuck, is and effective procedure aimed at tightening your stomach area, as well as making loose or wrinkled skin vanish. Stretch marks located between the pubic area and belly button are eliminated, while fat tissue located in the abdomen gets removed. Wall muscles in the abdomen are tightened such that the abdomen doesn’t stick out, even when bending over or sitting down.
How Is a Mini Tummy Tuck Performed?
In the Mini Tummy Tuck procedure, Dr. Blinski cuts the skin between the navel and top of the pubic area. The incision is made below your panty line. The muscles from the pubic bone to the ribs are then tightened. The navel stays in place. The skin above the navel is then stretched down to the pubic area and stitched in place. Finally, the navel is brought out to its original position. Minor liposuction is performed, fine tuning the newly shaped abdomen area.
What Happens After Surgery?
MIni Tummy Tucks are a more complex than normal procedure, so patients should plan to be out of work for 3 weeks. However, some patients can resume their work functions on a limited basis after 2 weeks.
