Smart Lipo – A New Advancement in Miami Liposuction

Smart Lipo – Both Removes Fat and Tightens Skin

If you are seeking a highly effective and cutting-edge method of significantly improving the efficiency and safety of most surgical techniques, then laser technology is undoubtedly what you will want to use. Pioneered originally in Europe, the SmartLipo procedure is the first liposuction procedure to be laser-assisted. The laser allows surgeons like Dr. Blinski to perform the procedure more safely, more quickly, and more cost-effectively.

Dr. Blinski is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, unlike many doctors who perform cosmetic procedures. Instead, some of those doctors are General Practioners with only a weekend seminar taken to learn a single cosmetic procedure. Wouldn’t you be more comfortable having a surgeon with a comprehensive education and certification credentials performing your procedure?

Dr. Blinski is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and a widely recognized expert. Therefore, his training and experience are more comprehensive on every aspect of cosmetic procedures. Dr Blinski’s training and experience grants him a thorough understanding, as well as all the nuances, of procedures like SmartLipo, Face Lift, or Butt Augmentation.

Dr. Blinski’s understanding of the SmartLipo procedure is so comprehensive that he is a national trainer to other physicians. And as a full plastic surgeon, he is also experienced in other cosmetic surgeries, like Rhinoplasty or Breast Augmentation. When you are with Dr. Blinski, you can feel confident that he has the range of experience and training necessary for the procedure best suited for your situation.

What Is Smart Lipo?

Smartlipo™ is a new and less invasive form of liposuction that uses a laser to liquefy unwanted fat. It is easier to remove the liquid fat using a smaller cannula than what is required for Liposuction, resulting in a smaller incision and therefore less chance of scarring.

The laser’s heat also stimulates the growth of collagen, which will continue to tighten your skin for several months after surgery. Depending on your situation, additional skin tightening through a Tummy Tuck or similar procedure may not be necessary.

The procedure itself takes less effort due to the fat being liquefied. Traditional Liposuction takes more strength from the surgeon, resulting in quicker fatigue. With SmartLipo, the physician only has to move the cannula through liquid, and therefore won’t get fatigued during the procedure.

Treatments with the Smartlipo system generally result in less swelling and bleeding as compared to traditional liposuction methods and can usually be performed in one 45-minute session. Repeat touch ups are required less often than with traditional Liposuction.

How Is Smart Lipo Performed?

During SmartLipo, the area to be treated is infused with a saline solution containing a local anesthetic. A very small incision is then made in the skin. A very small tube, called a cannula, containing the laser fiber is inserted into the fatty layers. The small laser fiber delivers energy directly to the fat cells, causing them to liquefy so they can be more easily removed.

What Happens After Surgery?

The anesthesia fluid infused into the fatty tissue helps to keep the area numb for 18 to 24 hours following surgery. This greatly minimizes postoperative pain. After SmartLipo, patients are usually alert and able to function without nausea. The laser causes small blood vessels to coagulate immediately on contact, resulting in less swelling and bruising, as well as faster healing. Most people return to work and normal activities within two days of their SmartLipo procedure. Compression garments are typically worn for 2 weeks after SmartLipo as compared to 6 weeks for traditional liposuction.
