Rejunvenating the Face - read about the Chemical Peel Miami has heard about!
A chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment used to smooth the texture of facial skin by using a chemical solution which causes the dead skin to literally peel off. Fresh skin underneath the dead skin is usually of a smoother texture.
Dr. Blinski is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon. Not every doctor who performs a Chemical Peel is a Plastic Surgeon. In fact, some of them are actually General Practioners who have taken a single weekend seminar to learn a single cosmetic procedure like Chemical Peels. Wouldn't you feel more confident knowing that the physician performing your procedure is a plastic surgeon with a comprehensive education and certification credentials?
Since he is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, as well as a widely recognized expert on cosmetic procedures, Dr. Blinski has a comprehensive understanding of every nuance of other cosmetic procedures, such as PMMA Injections, Chin Implants, or Mini Facelifts. Dr. Blinski is also experienced in other types of cosmetic surgeries, such as Liposuction or Breast Augmentation. No matter what your individual situation may be, you can trust that Dr. Blinski will choose the procedure best for you.
The Chemical Peel Procedure
There are three different types of chemical peels, a superficial peel, a medium peel, and a deep feel. In a superficial peel, the chemical is applied to the skin with a brush and allowed to sit on the skin for several minutes before being removes. In a medium peel, stronger chemicals are applied the same way as a superficial peel, but are left on longer before being removed. In a deep peel, you are put under IV sedation, and a strong chemical is left on small parts of the treatment area for about fifteen minutes at a time.
The more severe the peel, the more severe the effects. Dr. Blinski will work with you to determine which of the three types of chemical peels are best for you.
Chemical Peel Recovery
The expected recovery is dependent on the type of peel received. If you received a superficial peel, you will experience mild reddening and little discomfort. You should be able to continue your activities on the same day. If you received a medium peel, you will experience moderate discomfort, and will need to take a few days to heel. If you received a deep peel, you will experience prolonged moderate discomfort and should take a week or two off before heading back to work.
